RESERVATIONS & FEES

Reservations will be confirmed only on receipt of $500.00 deposit payable by Visa, MC or receipt of Internet Money Transfer. The reservation deposit is non-refundable.
The full rental fee is due 60 days prior to departure. If the full payment is not received 60 days prior to your booking, the reservation may be cancelled.
* Add 399 for long weekends & holidays*
Reservations cancelled prior to 60 days before departure, the paid rental fee will be refunded (minus the $500.00 deposit).
Reservations cancelled after 60 days and prior to 30 days before departure, will be refunded 50% of the rental fee.
Reservations cancelled 30 days or less before departure, will not be refunded.
A damage deposit of $2500.00 will be required prior to departure.
The deposit will be fully refunded after the rental is returned and a satisfactory damage & loss inspection is completed.
The damage deposit (in full or in part) will be retained for the following reasons (but may not be limited to):
- Damage to prop, out drive, hull, engine or other boat parts.
- Lost or damaged inventory items.
- Excessively uncleaned boats.
- Late returns.
- Damage to parks or other property.
- Unnecessary service calls.
- Boat not refueled upon return.
- Excessive wear & tear.
CONTRACTS & WAIVERS
Individual(s) signing the rental contract must have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
Individual(s) providing the damage deposit must sign the rental contract.
ORIENTATION, DEPARTURES & RETURNS
Orientation time on the day of pickup is between 9 am and 11 am local time. Departure will be after this time.
The designated 'Captain' and an alternate individual responsible for the group & rental are required to be present for orientation and sign-off. Additional group members are encouraged to attend for safety review, boating & area information.
Rental return time on the final day is 11:00 am local time to allow for cleaning before the next departure. If you are late, you will be charged an additional fee.
When you board your houseboat it is fully fueled and ready to go. You pay for what you use at the end of your vacation. Your fuel charges will largely depend on the amount of time you spend cruising and how you operate the boat. Remember – the lower the rpm the less your fuel charges will be. The average fuel consumption is approximately $30.00- $50.00 per day.
Also expect a small fee for use of propane and the sewage pumpout for the end of your trip.
Parking is free and you pick up the boat at old town beach Sicamous BC
The owners carry an insurance policy covering the charter. Should damage be incurred you will be responsible for paying up to the first $2500.00(per claim) for any damage.
Upon your arrival a $2500 security deposit is required. This deposit is refundable providing there are no outstanding charges such as:
- Lost or damaged inventory items
- Damage to propeller
- Damage to houseboat
- Excessively unclean boats
- Late return
- Violation of Houseboating Regulations
Visa/Master card or cash is accepted for the damage deposit.
Boarding times are between 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Please advise the office if you will be arriving later than 11:00 am. Return time for all seasons is anytime after 11:00 am but no later than 1:00 pm. Also pickup boat at old town beach Sicamous and can you change the return time to no later than 11 am.
Penalties are charged for late return and there is no refund for an early return of the houseboat.
For our customers who are flying in we have bedding packages available for rent at a cost of $25.00 plus taxes per person. This bedding package includes sheets, blanket, pillow and bath towels. There is limited availability on bedding packages and they must be reserved at time of booking.
Small boat launch and provincial park permits are all provided at no additional cost. Before sailing you will also receive a comprehensive captain’s lesson from our experienced staff. This lesson will include information pertaining to the lake system as well as how to operate your houseboat.
We will provide service and assistance at any time for emergencies.
Routine service problems will be dealt with promptly during normal working hours.

Don’t forget the food! For your grocery needs Sicamous has the Askews Grocery Store which is open from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm daily as well as a government liquor store and 2 cold beer and wine stores. If you run out of supplies while on the lake there are 2 floating stores both conveniently located at the Cinnemousin Narrows. Some of the marinas on the lake also have convenience stores and we will point out these areas when we go through the map of the lake with the captain.
Adult and Child size life jackets are supplied on all boats and are for emergency use only. Please bring life jackets for any of your crew under 90lbs.
Bring bottled water for drinking.
